About the Artist

Tara Wray is a photographer based in rural Vermont. She received a BA from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. Wray’s work has been exhibited at the Brush Art Gallery, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY; Duncan Miller Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; and Christel DeHaan Fine Art Center, University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth, TX; George Eastman Museum Library, Rochester, NY; and the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale University, New Haven, CT. Wray’s work has been featured in the Washington Post, Vogue, and NPR. Her most recent monograph, Year of the Beast, was published by Too Tired Press in 2021.
