Sinden Collier is a photographer based in Houston, TX. She is the first African American female photographer to be signed to Getty Images. Collier’s work has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; Los Angeles Center of Photography, Los Angeles, CA; and SE Center for Photography, Greenville, SC. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Houston Museum of African American Culture. Collier’s work has been featured in Elle Magazine, W Magazine, Italian Marie Claire Magazine, Ebony Magazine, and Essence Magazine. In 2017, she self-published her first monograph, Trains of Thought – Welcome Aboard. Collier counts Paolo Roversi, Deborah Turbeville, and Peter Lindbergh among her greatest artistic influences.
Collier was named to YourDailyPhotograph.com Hot 100 of 2021.
