Christopher Broughton is a photographer based in Los Angeles, CA. He received a BA and MA in photography from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Broughton returned to Brooks to serve as a full-time faculty member in both the graduate and undergraduate photography programs and taught at the school for over 20 years. As an educator, he has spent the last several summers taking students abroad to study photography in Paris and has continued that tradition with his students at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA. Broughton counts Walker Evans, Robert Frank, and Elliott Erwitt among his greatest artistic influences.
