Cem Turgay is a photographer based in İzmit, Turkey. He studied photography by working as a studio assistant for his father, well-known Turkish photographer Cemal Turgay. Turgay’s work has been exhibited at the Pera Museum, Istanbul, Turkey; C.A.M. Gallery, Istanbul, Turkey; and the Istanbul Modern, Istanbul, Turkey. His first monograph, Cem Turgay: Photographs, was self-published in 2005. Turgay counts Francis Bacon, François Truffaut, and Andy Warhol among his greatest artistic influences.
